More and more computing tasks are perfor-med by interactive systems that involve several distribu-ted agents which have local knowledge about the globalstate of the system and their own computing resources.Our work investigates interactive scenarios through theprism of synchronous games on finite graphs with im-perfect information.First, we address the question why interaction is diffi-cult to handle, by studying the consensus game acceptorvariant of the general game model. We show that, un-der imperfect information, the consensus condition isenough to cause undecidability. By using tools of for-mal language theory, we also give a classification of thecomplexity of executing joint winning strategies.Second, we focus on decidable cases and the way infor-mation is made accessible to the players. We identify apattern of information flow among players that leads todecidability: hierarchical information. A game has hie-rarchical information when the information about thecurrent history is accessible to the players in an orderlyfashion, so that no two players have incomparable infor-mation. We present three variants of hierarchical infor-mation: static, dynamic, and finally recurring hierarchi-cal information that enlarge the landscape of decidablearchitectures.Finally, we consider a particular source of imperfect in-formation in games, that can arise in practice: delays.Extending the delayed-response technique from the eco-nomical game theory literature, we design a procedurethat handles the transition state-structure of our gamemodel, and constructs, by carefully recombining win-ning strategies from instant monitoring game instances,solutions to the delayed distributed synthesis problemthat preserve the equilibrium outcomes.
